Student Opportunities

A core tenant of the Utah Forest Institute is to provide opportunities to Utah State University undergraduate and graduate students to get hands on experience in the fields of forest ecology, GIS, and remote-sensing through paid work and independent study project. Hiring for GIS and remote-sensing work during the academic year typically occurs late-summer. Hiring for field work during the summer typically occurs early-spring. Check back to see when we're actively hiring, or inquire about future opportunities or other ways to get involved in forest and wildfire ecology at Utah State University by emailing Megan Nasto (megan.nasto@usu.edu).
